Katherine Marie

Cole Adkins

Katherine Marie Cole Adkins, 40, of Kingsport, TN, formerly of Buchanan County, died May 26 at the Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, TN, following a brief illness.

Born in Richmond, she was the daughter of Grady Cole of Jewell Ridge and Linda Snell Cole Douglas of Grundy.

She was a resident of Buchanan County most of her life, prior to moving to Kingsport and was of the Church of Christ faith. She was a loving mother and a wonderful homemaker.

Additional survivors: daughter, Melody Cole of U.S. Army, Fort Leonard Wood, MO; sons, Joseph Cole and Thomas Adkins, both of the home; step-mother, Betty Cole of Jewell Ridge; sisters, Sue Matney and Sheila Cole Martin, both of Grundy, Mandy Cole of Jewell Ridge; step-sister, Melinda Meadows of Jewell Ridge; step-brother, Troy Meadows of Jewell Ridge; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

The funeral was conducted June 1 at 1 p.m. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Cole officiating.

Burial followed at the Cole’s Family Cemetery on Laurel Creek, Whitewood.

Virginia Alley

Virginia Alley, 89, of Tazewell, died June 3 at Tazewell Community Hospital.

Born Aug. 27, 1917 at Tazewell, she was a daughter of the late Thomas William Gillespie and Ida Pearl Neel Gillespie.

She was of the Holiness faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Grat T. Alley; son, Arnold Alley and infant son, Harold Alley; one sister and four brothers.

Survivors: son, Glenn Alley and wife, Margaret, of Thomasville, NC; grandchildren, Ricky Alley and wife, Michelle, of Tazewell, Nancy Osborne of North Tazewell; great grandchildren, Nikki Alley and Carrie Alley of Tazewell, Nathan Osborne of North Tazewell; daughter-in-law, Patty Alley of North Tazewell; brother, Bill Gillespie of Tazewell; special nephew whom she raised, Pastor Kenny Gillespie of Tazewell; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

The funeral was conducted at 8 p.m. June 5 at Peery & St.Clair Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell with The Rev. Jim Denton officiating.

Graveside committal services will be conducted at 11 a.m. June 6 at Concord Cemetery in the Gratton community of Tazewell.

Those planning to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at Peery & St.Clair Funeral Home by 10:30 a.m. June 6.

Rita Carol

Carter Baldwin

Rita Carol Carter Baldwin, 59, of Pulaski, died May 25.

She attended Hilltop Pentecostal Holiness Church and was active in the Ladies of the Moose.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Beckner and Frances Ilene Carter.

Survivors: husband, Phillip Baldwin of Pulaski; son and daughter-in-law, Roy David and Heather Baldwin of Fort Worth, TX; grandchildren, Sabrina and Patrick; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ann and Wayne Herald, and Sue and Bob Murray, all of Dublin; nephew, Eddie and Terri Murray and their children, Jade and Carter Murray; and niece, Tina and David Peterson and their children, Kayla, Austin and Chase Peterson.

The funeral was held May 28 at 1 p.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. Bruce Gregory officiating.

Interment followed in the Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin.

Adkin Barron

Adkin Barron, 81, of Hartwell, WV died June 1 at his home.

Nora Marie

Potter Bentley

Nora Marie Potter Bentley, 82, of Brookneal, formerly of Buchanan County, died May 31 at the Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Brookneal, following an extended illness.

Born in Buchanan County, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Katie Louise Stiltner Potter.

She was a resident of Buchanan County most of her life prior to making her home in Brookneal with her daughter, Lynn Davis, and was of the Freewill Baptist Faith. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a wonderful homemaker and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Irlan Bentley, Feb. 12, 1996, and two sons, Irlan Douglas Bentley and Sammy David Bentley.

Survivors: daughters, Betty Charles of Grundy, Regina Bentley of South Boston, Tammy Bentley of Columbus, OH, Shelia Lester of Baptist Valley, Brenda Graham of Kingsport, TN, Lynn Davis of Brookneal; son, Roger Bentley of Richlands; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The funeral was conducted June 3 at 2 p.m. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Evg. Dennis Wimmer officiating.

Burial followed in the Looney and Ratliff Cemetery on Slate Creek, near Grundy.

The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be made in the form of a donation to March of Dimes, Attn: DRFR, 1275 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains, NY 10605.

Mabel Clara Blevins

Mabel Clara Crissman Blevins, 66, died June 1 at her home after a long illness.

Born July 3, 1940, in Honaker, she was the daughter of the late Clarence H. Crissman and Mamie Stump Crissman.

She worked for the Russell County sheriff’s department for many years and was a Magistrate for the Commonwealth of Virginia for 17 years. She was formerly the co-owner of Southwest Ambulance Service and of the Roundup Restaurant in Lebanon. She was a member of the Honaker First United Methodist Church.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by an infant son.

Survivors: mother, Mamie Stump Crissman of Honaker; brother, Dr. James K. Crissman and wife, Mary, of Sycamore, IL; sister, Brenda Crissman Musick and husband, Jimmie, of Honaker; brother-in-law, Randall Blevins and wife, Geraldine, of Granite Falls, NC; niece, Cindy Robinson and husband, Mike, of Danville, KY; nephews, Rev. Chris Musick and wife, Lynn, of Lebanon, Jacob Musick and wife, Tiffany, of Honaker, Michael Blevins of Granite Falls; four great-nephews; six great-nieces, whom she loved dearly; numerous friends who brought joy and laughter to her life; caregivers, Jean Penley, Alice Street and Kellie Sutherland; RCMC Home Health and Hospice and Home Care Equipment.

The funeral was conducted June 4 at 2 p.m. at the Combs Funeral Service Chapel in Lebanon with the Rev. Chris Musick and Brother Jacob Musick officiating.

Interment followed in Ketron Memorial Gardens.

Bryce Eyn Brewster

Bryce Eyn Brewster, 6 week old infant son of Breanne Alyse Stanton of North Tazewell and Danny Brewster of North Tazewell, died May 20 at his home.

He was born April 5, 2007 in Bluefield, WV.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Dan Brewster.

Additional survivors: maternal grandparents, John and Kay Stanton of North Tazewell, and paternal grandmother, Susan Harman of Bishop.

The funeral was conducted at 2 p.m. May 25 at Peery & St.Clair Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell with the Rev. John Canning officiating.

Burial followed at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA.

Bruce Wayne Clifton

Bruce Wayne Clifton, 65, of the Witten Valley community in Tazewell, died May 29 at Tazewell Community Hospital.

Born Oct. 13, 1941 in Tazewell, he was a son of the late Victor Lowell Clifton and Harriet Ailene Hill Clifton.

He was a US Air Force Veteran and member of the American Legion Post #133 of Tazewell. He was a member and elder of the Tazewell Presbyterian Church and served on the property committee. He retired from Ramey Chevrolet after 27 years and previously worked for 11 years at J.C. Penny Company.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Norris Clifton, and one brother-in-law, Larry Melvin.

Survivors: wife of 40 years, Linda Herald Clifton; sons, Craig Newton Clifton and wife, Taffy, and Eric Wade Clifton, all of Tazewell; very special granddaughters, Kayla Autumn Clifton and Hayley Brianna Clifton; sisters, Shelby Clifton Hunt and husband, E.T., of Lynchburg, Carol Clifton Melvin of Tazewell; brother, Glen Clifton and wife, Tearesa, of Tazewell; and special friends and neighbors, Kent and Nicole Barrett and their children, Nicolas and Kendal of Tazewell.

Buell G. Cline

Buell G. Cline, 89, of North Tazewell, died May 26 at Tazewell.

Born July 10, 1917 at Woosley, WV, he was a son of the late William D. Cline and Lillian B. Morgan Cline.

He had worked most of his life as a self employed electric and plumbing contractor. He was a United States Air Force Veteran of World War II and was a Charter Member of the North Tazewell Lions Club. He was of the Methodist faith and was a member of the Riverside United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Thomas G. Cline, Herbert Cline, Kermit Cline and Earl Cline, and two sisters, Wilma Davidson and Cecile Christian.

Survivors: loving wife of 59 years, Janice B. Cline; son, Richard Cline and wife, Constance, of Marvin, NC; daughter, Betty Hutchinson and husband, John, of San Marino, CA; brothers, Fred D. Cline of Bandy, James Paul Cline of Winchester; sister, Edna Weaver of Quarryville, PA; grandchildren, Elisabeth, Jeremy, Jared and Mariah Cline and Michael Hutchinson; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The funeral was conducted at 2 p.m. May 29 at Peery & St.Clair Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell with the Rev. Kenneth Gillespie officiating.

Burial followed at Maplewood Cemetery in Tazewell.

Charles Clayton Compton

Charles Clayton Compton, 89, of Richlands, died May 25 at Tazewell following an extended illness.

Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of the late William Whitten Compton and Gertrude Brown Compton.

He had served for over three years in the Army Air Corps during World War II on the China, Burma and India Front.  He was retired from S & S Corporation.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Hazel Ball Compton; four brothers Porter, Lawrence, Patton and Warner Compton; and six sisters, Cornelia Compton, Eunice Compton Bucklen, Ernestine Compton Mullins, Nancy Compton, Ruby Compton Holcomb and Olive Compton White.

Survivors: daughter, Judith Ann Clayton of Roanoke; brother, Calvin C. Compton of Roanoke; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were conducted at 2 p.m. May 27 at the Greenhills Memory Gardens Mausoleum at Claypool Hill with Rev. Stafford Compton officiating.

Singleton Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.

Florence Dye

Florence Dye, 80, of Tavares, FL, died May 11 in Florida.

She was born in Mayo and was a homemaker. She moved to Tavares from Live Oak, FL in 2003. She was a member of Live Oak Christian Church in Live Oak, FL. She was the past Regent of D.A.R. Chapter in St. Joe Bay, FL and was a current member of the Edward Rutledge Chapter in Lake City, FL. She was also a member of U.D.C. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, painting, and also enjoyed traveling.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Dye.

Survivors: son, Buford Lashley and wife, Renee; daughters, Patricia Deese and husband, Bill, Sandra Bouley and husband, Joe; brother, William Seat; sister, Joan Ellis; grandchildren, Tammy Mashburn and James Buddy Eason; and great-grandson, Beau Mashburn.

The funeral was held at Beyer’s Funeral Home in Leesburg, FL.

A committal service was held at Horton Family Cemetery on Horton Ridge, near Raven, at 12 p.m. June 2 with Rev. Dennis White officiating.

Hubert Albert Hill

Hubert Albert Hill, 71, of Swords Creek, died May 30.

Born Nov. 27, 1935 in Raven, he was the son of the late Columbus and Ruthie Byrd Hill.

He was a United States Army Veteran. He was a retired coal miner and a member of UMWA Local 1852.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Teresa Ann Hill; two sisters, Ida Simmons and Faye Hubbard; four brothers, Ray Hill, Hurley Hill, Buford Hill and Marvin Hill; and one son-in-law, Robert Calhoun.

Survivors: loving wife of 52 years, Frances Hill; his children who loved him very much, daughters, Delores Tiny Calhoun, Kimberly Ray and husband, Kenny, and Bridgot Ray and husband, Mark, all of Swords Creek, Janet Morris and husband, Donald, of Morgantown, WV; son, Timmy Hill and wife, Kay, of Richlands; sisters, Emily Childress of Raven, Estie Street of Garden Creek; grandchildren, Michele Robbins, Robert Ray, Jr., Rodney Ray, Stephanie Kalbaugh, Brandi Hill, Trinety Hill, Teresa Hill, Tristen Romano, Christie Hubbard, Kenneth Ray, Jr., Shane Ray, Shadow Hale, Brook Ray, Jeff Morris, Kevin Calhoun, Robert Calhoun, Jr., and Miracle Keene; and great grandchildren, Shyla Lashinski, Robert Ray, Kaleb Ray, Lawhitney Whited, Matthew Kalbaugh, Tyler Kalbaugh, Chloe Kalbaugh, Trey Hubbard, Ty Ray, Skylar Robbins and Branson Robbins.

Burial followed in the Newberry Cemetery at Horton Ridge.

Military graveside rites were conducted by American Veterans Honor Guard Association.

Services were held June 1 at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Alberta Altizer LaForce

Alberta Altizer LaForce, 84, of Alexandria, formerly of Bandy, died May 31 in an Alexandria hospital following a lengthy illness.

Born in Tazewell County, she was the daughter of the late Jesse James and Josie Altizer, both of Tazewell County. She had lived most of her life in Bandy and had attended Bandy Assembly of God Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Vince LaForce; two grandsons, Jeff LaForce and Wayne Dean; one daughter-in-law, Kathy LaForce; one sister, Rosie Lewis; and three brothers, Kenny, Corbin, and Paul Altizer.

Survivors: daughters, Gaynell Campbell and husband, Jim, of Newark, OH, Barbara Moholland of Hampton, Angie Gibson of Ocala, FL, Sandi Crounse of Alexandria; sons, Vince LaForce, Jr. and wife, Beverly, of Bandy, Douglas MacArthur LaForce and wife, Glenda, and Larry LaForce and wife, Sherry, all of Pounding Mill, Billy Roy LaForce of Loundon County, TN, Bobby Troy LaForce of Hillsville, James Terry LaForce and wife, Irma, of Abingdon, Danny Dale LaForce and wife, April, of King George County, Dwight LaForce and wife, Laura, of Strasburg; sisters, JoAnn Milsap of Columbus, OH, Millie Fields of Athens, TN, Winnie Russ of Doran; special friend, Brenda Hess; 23 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.

Darlene Morgan Lowe

Darlene Morgan Lowe, 69, of Drill section of Honaker, died June 2 in a Lebanon hospital.

Born Sept. 2, 1937 in Russell County, she was a daughter of the late James Troy and Nellie Mae Ball Morgan.

She was a lifelong resident of the area.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Buster Lowe; two brothers, Raymond Morgan and Junior Morgan; and two sisters, Katherine Musick and Anna Lee Morgan.

Survivors: sisters, Liz Garrett and husband, John, of Lebanon, Lucille Morgan of Drill; brothers, Robert Morgan and wife, Dean, of Rosedale, Doug Morgan and wife, Mable, of Rising Sun, MD; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral was conducted at 1 p.m. June 5 in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, with Rev. Duane Musick officiating.

Interment followed in the Lowe Cemetery at Drill.

Jesse Warren Mahone

Jesse Warren Mahone, 94, of Richlands, was surrounded by his loving family at his home as he answered his call to heavenly rest June 1 following a lengthy illness.

Born in Stowe, WV, he was the son of the late Sam Annual and Fannie Jacobs Mahone, both former Hartwell, WV natives.

He was a retired machinist for Island Creek, and was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church in Richlands. He was a member of the Cedar Bluff Masonic Lodge #260 AF & AM and a member of the UMWA Local #1671. He was a former member of the Virginia State Guard/National Guard. He may be gone from this world, but he will always be in our hearts.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mae R. Mahone, two sisters and two brothers.

Those who remain to carry on his spirit are: wife, Pearlie Rowe Logan Mahone; sons, Jesse Lee Mahone and wife, Debbie, of Elizabethton, TN, Donald Mahone and wife, Barbara, of Cedar Bluff, Rev. The funeral was held June 4 at 2 p.m. at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands with the Rev. Stafford Compton and Rev. Jim Denton officiating.

Interment followed at the Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill.

A Masonic service was held June 3 at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Marvin Hasten

Proffitt, Jr.

Marvin Hasten Proffitt, Jr., 58, of Doran, died May 28 at a Richlands hospital following a brief illness.

Born in Richlands, he was the son of the late Marvin Hasten, Sr. and Agnes Viney Byrd Proffitt, both of Tazewell County.

He had worked for 23 years as a coal miner and had most recently worked for Falcon Coal Company. He was a lifelong resident of the area and was of the Pentecostal faith.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Hazel Shelton, and three brothers-in-law.

Survivors: wife, Patricia Ann Proffitt of Doran; daughters, Florence Agnus Harrison and husband, Mark, of China Grove, NC, Yvonne Lynn Cruey and fiancé, Danny Johnson, and Annette Fabray Proffitt, all of Swords Creek, June Allison Horn and husband, Kelly Ray, of Cedar Bluff; son, Marvin Thomas Proffitt of Doran; mother-in-law, Florence Wissel of Doran; sisters, Peggy Shook of High Point, NC, Alice Reedy of Jewell Ridge; brothers, Roger Proffitt of Cedar Bluff, Larry Proffitt and Donnie Dean Proffitt, both of Doran; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Jane L. Richardson

Jane Lipford Frazier Richardson, 85, a resident of Rutherford Heights, PA, for almost 50 years, and formerly of Richlands, died May 26 at the Blue Ridge Golden Living Center, Susquehanna Township, PA.

Born in Richlands Jan. 10, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Adolphus P. and Georgia “Bupie” Satterfield Lipford.

She retired as a secretary from the Pennsylvania Department of Insurance and was formerly employed by the Department of Education. She was a 1939 graduate of Richlands High School, and a graduate of Roanoke Business College, Roanoke. She was a charter member of Christ United Methodist Church, Rutherford, PA, where she was a former Sunday School Teacher and Past President of the Women’s Society of the church. She was a volunteer for the American Heart Association. She was a former member of the Rutherford Lioness Club; and was a Girl Scout Leader and Den Mother for the Boy Scouts.  She loved to travel and go shopping. She was a very compassionate person who enjoyed helping others.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, William N. Frazier, Nov. 3, 1979. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy; a graduate of Virginia Tech University; and a retiree of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Resources. She was also preceded in death by her 13 year-old son, Robert Clayborn Frazier, on June 22, 1964.

Survivors: husband of 16 years, Eugene E. Richardson, whom she married on June 22, 1991; daughter, Georgia L., wife of Steven G. Wolfe, of East Pennsboro Township, PA; step-daughters, Susan R., wife of Ronald Kirkland of Mechanicsburg, PA, and Cathy A. Richardson of Newark, DE; grandson, Gregory P. Wolfe of East Pennsboro Township, PA; and step grandson, Trevor R. Brown of Arlington.

The funeral was held June 1 at 11 a.m. in Christ United Methodist Church, in Rutherford, with The Rev. Jennifer Williams, her pastor, and The Rev. Dr. Gordon Lewis of Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, Rutherford, officiating.

Interment was in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Township, PA.

Friends called May 31 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Trefz and Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., in Hummelstown, PA, and June 1 at the church from 10 a.m. until time of the service.

“Tommy” Sheppard

Lowell Thomas Sheppard, known to all as Tommy, died suddenly at his home (Abbs Valley) Bluefield, VA, May 29.

Born Jan. 13, 1958 in Tazewell, he was a son of the late Lowell E. Sheppard and Geraldine Lawson Sheppard of Mudfork.

He was a former employee of Ramey Chevrolet in Tazewell where he worked with many cherished friends for 27 years. He loved hunting, fishing, and working in his garden at home.

Phyllis Ann Stanford

Phyllis Ann Stacy Stanford, 60, of Abingdon, died May 26 in a Bristol, TN, hospital after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

Born and raised in Hurley, she was a daughter of the late Giles Bud and Gertrude Sparks Stacy.

She had spent most of her life in the area and was a graduate of Hurley High School and attended Guiding Light Freewill Baptist Church at Oakwood. She worked at the Old Grundy Hospital prior to her marriage, after which she became a beloved, wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Clyde Robert Stanford; one brother, Willie Stacy; one sister, Dorothy Stacy; her maternal grandparents, Turner and Arminda Sparks; and her paternal grandparents, George and Mae Stacy.

Survivors: daughters, Tammy Stanford-Moise and husband, Lee, of Grundy, Tina Nace and husband, Matt, of Charles Town, WV, Theresa Stanford of Abingdon; sons, Brian Stanford and Steven Stanford, both of Abingdon, Mark and Lesli Stanford of Fort Bragg, NC; grandchildren, Kelly Robert Wiles, Beth Boone, Amanda Stanford, Ashlea Moise, Bradley Ball, Katherine Moise, Khrista Moise, Madeline Nace, Zachary Stanford, Lance Moise and Matthew Nace; brothers and sisters, Mae Evans, Retha Ratliff and Bill Stacy, all of Salesville, OH, Shirley Hensley, James Stacy and Gary Stacy, all of Hurley, Clarence Stacy of Bristol, VA, Larry Stacy of Lebanon, Henry Stacy of Richlands; special friends, Phyllis Bordwine, Christine Arnold, Susan Caudill and Ricky Whetzel; and special cat, Buddy.

The funeral was conducted at 11 a.m. May 30 in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Robinson and Rev. Troy Harris officiating.

Interment followed in the Ketron Memorial Gardens at Lebanon.

Stella Whited

Stella Whited, 89, of Beckley, WV, formerly of Buchanan County, died June 1 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley following a brief illness.

Born May 9, 1918 at Garden Creek, she was the daughter of the late George and Alta (Coleman) Meadows.

On Feb. 4, 1939, she married Herman “Sherman” Whited in Russell County.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Billy; one daughter-in-law, Dollie; and six brothers, Everett, Earl, Linkous, Britton, William and Wallace. 

Survivors: daughter, Juanita Clifton of Mabscott, WV; sons, Teddy James Whited and wife, Katherine, of Horton Ridge, Edward Whited of Buchanan County; sisters, Nellie Presley of Michigan, Vergie Vandyke of Abingdon; sister-in-law, Sarah Meadows of Ohio; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and one due in September; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and neighbors.

The funeral was conducted at 11 a.m. June 4 at Singleton Funeral Service Chapel in Cedar Bluff.

Burial followed in the Newberry Cemetery at Horton Ridge.

Mary Jean Wilson

Mary Jean Wilson, 72, died at her home in Raven.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Roger and Mae Hooker; and two brothers, Buddy Hooker and Joseph H. Hooker.

Survivors: son, Robert C. Wilson of Raven; brothers, Kenneth Hooker of Lebanon, Barry Hooker of Bristol, VA; and sisters, Virginia L. (Jennie) Farmer of Lebanon, and Peggy Stallard of Roanoke.

No visitation or funeral services were held.

Margaret Fuller Wyatt

Margaret Fuller Wyatt, 84, of Doran, died May 29 in a Richlands hospital.

Born April 4, 1923 in Honaker, she was the daughter of the late Dewey and Bertha Ball Fuller.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, James William Wyatt and Jackie Lee Wyatt; two brothers, Dewey Walter Fuller and Howard William Fuller; and one sister, Lucille Salyers.

Survivors: husband of 60 years, Grat Wyatt; daughters, Carolyn Griffith and husband, Ralph, of Swords Creek, Teresa Gross and husband, Jimmy, of Doran; sons, Harold Wyatt and wife, Wilma, of Hurley, Michael Wyatt of Doran; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; brothers, Claude Fuller and wife, Dorothy, of Belfast, Carson Fuller of Maiden, NC, Robert Fuller of Belfast, Harless Fuller and wife, Norsie, of Honaker, Roy Fuller of Honaker; sisters, Ruth Vance of Fairborn, OH, Trula Wallace and husband, Jack, of Honaker; and special caregivers, Carolyn Griffith, Teresa Gross, Ruby Horton and Connie Shelton.

The funeral was conducted at 11 a.m. June 1 at Singleton Funeral Service Chapel at Cedar Bluff.

Burial followed in the Ball Cemetery at Road Ridge.
