Grand jury indicts 140 in Tazewell County

The following is a list of indictments returned by the Tazewell County Grand Jury sitting on September 9, 2008. The Commonwealth presented a total of 140 indictments on 127 individuals with 85 individuals residing in Tazewell County and 42 individuals residing outside of Tazewell County. Of the 42 individuals residing outside of Tazewell County, 24 reside in West Virginia.  Of the 127 individuals indicted, 88 were men and 39 were women. The Grand Jurors returned 139 True Bills and one No True Bill for a total of 682 counts. Seventy-four indictments were originally sealed pending arrest.
