TAZEWELL – Pomp and Circumstance will be heard in the hills of Tazewell County this weekend.
Graduation ceremonies are scheduled for June 6 at all four high schools and all start at 7 p.m. At Pocahontas 23 seniors will receive diplomas as members of the last class to graduate from that school.
Their ceremony will be held in the Gaza Kovach Auditorium. Pocahontas is closing its doors and students from that school district have the choice of attending either Graham or Tazewell next year.
At Tazewell High diplomas will be given to 117 seniors and the ceremony is tentatively scheduled for Bulldog Stadium.  If rain is forecast for June 6 the ceremony will move to the Community Center at SwVCC.
Richlands High School holds its ceremony in the middle school auditorium and award diplomas to 157 seniors. Graham also holds its graduation exercises in the middle school auditorium.
Project Graduation will also be held at all four county schools following the exercises. Honaker High School held its graduation exercises May 25 with 90 students receiving diplomas.
Twin Valley’s graduating class walked the aisle May 30 and 60 seniors received diplomas.
