Girls’ soccer beats Bassett 3-1

The girls’ soccer team broke a three-game losing streak with a 3-1 win over Bassett at Magna Vista Wednesday, April 23.
Samantha Morris had two goals and Amanda Schula had one. Shannon McDaniel had two assists and Christina Soule had one.
Shasta Sowers had three saves.
The Lady Buffs lost to district leader Radford 12-0 at Floyd Monday, April 14. Shasta Sowers had 19 saves for the Buffaloes.
Floyd dropped a 5-1 district contest to Glenvar at Glenvar Thursday, April 17. Samantha Morris had the Floyd goal.
Amanda Schula assisted on the goal. Shasta Sowers had 13 saves.
The Buffaloes dropped a 6-2 non-district match to James River at Buchanan Monday, April 21. Amanda Shulca and Lulu Barber scored the goals.
Shasta Sowers and Shannon McDaniel combined for 14 saves. Sowers had five saves and McDaniel had nine.
The Buffaloes play at Radford tonight at 7:00 and host Glenvar Monday, May 5 at 7:00.
