Girls advance to finals

The Floyd County girls’ basketball team clinched a spot in the Group A, Division 2 state tournament with an 81-37 win over Grayson County in the Region C semifinals at James River Thursday night.
The Lady Buffs will play Chilhowie in the Region C championship game Saturday, March 1, at noon at Lord Botetourt High School in Daleville. Floyd will play in the state tournament Saturday,
March 8. Time and location of the state quarterfinal game will be determined after the Regional championship game.
