Floyd wins district tournament

Floyd County beat Grayson County 2-0 Wednesday night to win the Dixie League Ponytails District Championship at Floyd.
Floyd and Grayson split a pair of games earlier in the tournament, setting up the third and deciding game.
Both teams missed scoring opportunities in regulation before Floyd finally got the winning runs in the 10th inning.
The Dixie State Championship will be played at Botetourt. The winner of the state tournament advances to the World Series, held
in August in Louisiana.
