On third and four, John Harris went 11 yards around the right side for the touchdown. The PAT kick was wide right and Patrick led 6-0 at 4:05.

Luke Harris then hit Bolt with a 15 yard pass to the Cougar 44.A seven yard carry by Kent Moles and a three yard run by Harris got another first down.

Harris picked up the first down on an eight yard run and two plays later hit Bolt with a short pass, which Bolt took to the middle, then cut back to the left for a 34 yard touchdown. Nathan Weiss kicked the PAT and Floyd led 7-6 at 6:28.
The Cougars regained the lead less than a minute later. Starting from the 35, it took only two plays, as J. Harris got the corner and went 61 yards down the right sideline for a touchdown. Oscar Tejada threw to Dotson for the PAT and Patrick led 14-7 at 5:33.

Patrick was stuck at the 15 when the kickoff was bobbled out of bounds. But J. Harris got the Cougars out the hole on an 18 yard carry on third and two.
Tejeda then hit Harris with a 25 yard pass to the Buff 28. But L. Harris ended the drive with an interception with 12 seconds left.

The Floyd defense held Patrick to a three-and-out possession. Bolt had a long punt returned diminished by a blocking penalty. But on the first play of the drive, Bolt went 17 yards on a run up the middle.
A pair of 15 yard passes from Harris to Gallimore – the last with Gallimore hanging on despite a hard hit – helped move the ball to the nine. Harris carried for nine and then hit Holman with a one yard touchdown pass. The kick from Weiss made it 28-14 at 2:33.

Floyd failed to pick up a first down and the Cougars got the ball back on a short punt to their own 48. Two plays later, lineman Josh Cluxton intercepted a Tejada pass and returned it to the Patrick 38.
“That was all from the film,” Cluxton said. “We’d seen where the quarterback did that when he had the receivers lined up in that formation. I just went up and got it.”
Moles carried for 13, but Floyd gave the ball up on downs. Four plays later, the defense turned it over again, this time with Benji Allen recovering a fumble at the Cougar 30 with 3:17 remaining.
“Their quarterback was getting down low on the snap, and he just came up too quick and lost the ball,” Allen said.
Floyd scored one more time, as Moles won a sprint to the right corner and went 11 yards for the touchdown. The kick by Weiss made it 35-14 with 41 seconds left.
Patrick lost the ball one more time, as the kickoff bounced off a lineman and was recovered by Ethan Griffith at midfield.
