EDDIE GEORGE PACKARD
COPPER HILL-Eddie George Packard, 71, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2008.
Survivors include: sisters-in-law, Barbar Sowder and husband, Thomas, Check, Lula Bell Kennedy, Colorado.
A memorial service was held at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 27 at Stonewall Methodist-Brethren Church with Pastor Dan Walker officiating.

IVRA LAYMAN THOMPSON
SALEM-Ivra Layman Thompson, 98, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2008.  She was a member of the Sunrise Circle, the West Salem Social Club, and the Salem Church of Christ.  Preceding her in death were her parents, Green T. and Mary E. Layman, and husband, Cleavie W. Thompson.
Her surviving family includes several nieces and nephews.
The family receiveD friends on Sunday, March 30, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the John M. Oakey and Son Funeral Home in Salem.  Funeral service was held on Monday, March 31, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home’s chapel.  Interment followed at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem.  The Reverend Roy Miller officiated.  Contributions maybe made to the Salem Church of Christ at 401 W.
