Floyd hosts Dixie league

Floyd County will once again be hosting Dixie League district competition. The first of the area tournaments starts this week, with softball in Floyd starting in early July.
One Floyd team is already assured of a state tournament berth. Floyd has the only entry in the Belles division, and automatically advances to the state tournament at South Hill July 18.
Two other softball tournaments start in Floyd on July 5. The Angles division is for ages 9-10 and the Ponytails division is for age 11-12. Botetourt County will host state tournaments for both divisions beginning July 18.
