Floyd falls in tournament

The girls’ basketball team lost to Glenvar 67-64 in the Three Rivers District tournament semifinals Wednesday at Christiansburg. The Lady Buffs had finished the regular season with an unbeaten district record and had won 20 games in a row.
Floyd had defeated Glenvar twice during the regular season, including a 20-point win a week earlier on Senior Night. The Buffaloes will not appear in the district finals, but will still make the Region C tournament, which begins Monday.
Pairings for the tournament will be announced Sunday.
