Buffs run in Maroon Tide Invitational.

The Floyd boys cross country team took sixth place in the 14th annual Maroon Tide Invitational in Hillsville, Wednesday, September 26. The girls team finished 12th.
Nineteen schools participated in the relay, held at the Southwestern Virginia Training Facility, off of Route 221, west of Hillsville.
Austin Grubb had the best finish for the boys, taking eighth. Andrew Grubb was 19th, Cole Conley 38th, Eden Keith 48th and Woody Underwood 62nd. Travis Nester was 111th and Russell Callahan 112th.
For the girls, Brandy Phillips was 31st. Ashley Collins was 52nd, Delie Wilkens 81st, Brittany Weeks 82nd, Jessica Moore 84th, and Stephanie Goad 88th.
