Buffs host annual Knobathon

Floyd County hosted its only cross country meet of the year Wednesday, the Sixth Annual Rocky Knob Knobathon at the Rocky Knob picnic ground on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The Floyd boys finished second and the Floyd girls finished third.
In the boys’ meet, Roanoke Catholic was first, Floyd County second, Patrick County third and Eastern Montgomery fourth. Auburn and Day Spring Christian did not field a complete team.
In the girls’ meet, Roanoke Catholic edge Patrick County for first and Floyd was third. EastMont, Auburn and Day Spring did not field complete teams.
Austin Grubb was second, the highest Floyd finish in the boys’ race. Nicole Snead had the best finish for the girls’ team, taking third.
