Buffaloes defeat Rural Retreat in first game

Floyd County opened the 2008 football season with a 47-0 win over Rural Retreat at Floyd Friday.
Senior quarterback Luke Harris led the way, scoring three touchdowns on runs, and then throwing for two more touchdown passes to Daniel Bradford.
Rural Retreat started with a good running game, but after a fumble on the opening drive, the Buffalo defense took over. Floyd raced to a 26-0 halftime lead, and added three more touchdowns in the third quarter for a 47 point lead before the start of the fourth quarter.
